Wills’ Africa Trust

(This page gives a short summary of the background and purpose of the trust

while the website is under construction)

About the Trust:     “Wills’ Africa Trust” was established as a memorial to William Andrew 19, who died on Christmas Eve 2005 following a tragic accident in South Africa involving an Elephant.  His trust now provides precious funds for worthy projects in Kenya.

Aims:     The aims of Wills’ Africa Trust are:

- To promote the preservation of the African Elephant in its natural habitat and its protection from extinction for the public benefit.

- To develop the capacity and skills of members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in Kenya in such a way that they are better able to lead healthy lives and contribute more fully in society.

Current Projects:     The Trust is sponsoring two projects; the Nest Children’s Home, an orphanage in Limuru, close to Nairobi, and the establishment of a Maternity Hospital in Laikipia on the boundary of Ol Ari Nyiro.

Future Projects:     The trustees are now examining a potential water project on the eastern border of the semi-arid Shaba Reserve and a proposal to sponsor children who have been injured by elephants.

Donations:     Sustaining work on these and future projects in memory of Wills will depend on continued support from you and those who have already been so supportive of this cause.  Donations may be sent to:
